Following the
Annual Visitation of Provincial Grand Lodge to The
Pollokshaws Royal Arch Lodge No 153 Bro James McGhee PM, PPG
Marshall was given the rank of Honorary Provincial Grand
Marshall of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East.
It had been intended that this honour be given at the Annual
meeting of PGL in January, however, Bro McGhee had not been
well enough to attend.
Bro McGhee has been a faithful servant to PGL over many
years and although never inspiring to attain SPGW was quite
content to hold junior office. His health during the past
couple of years has not been great, but it was indeed very
pleasing to see him amongst his Brethren last night.

Bro David
Reid's appointment as PGM |
1st
Feb 2007 |
On the 1st
February 2007, I assume the duties and responsibilities
as Provincial Grand Master of Renfrewshire East, an honour
which I greatly appreciate.
As a young mason initiated
in Lodge Douglas, East Kilbride No 1557 in December
1979, I never thought for one moment that this position
would lie in front of me as a freemason.
However,
it is my intention to work with ALL Lodges within the
Province during the next 5 years and continue the work
of my predecessors and enhance the reputation of the
Craft in our area.
At this
time I must pay a complement to my predecessor, Bro
Dixon John Drye and wish Bro Dixon and his wife Marion
good health and happiness for the future.
