Lodge Moorpark No.1263 Centenary

The 100th Anniversary Rededication of Lodge Moorpark No.1263 took place on Saturday 7th May in the Masonic Temple in Broadloan, Renfrew.

RWM Bro. Garry Upchurch welcomed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East headed by PGM Bro. Ronald E. Fraser followed by a Deputation from Grand Lodge headed by Substitute Grand Master Bro. James C. Peddie.

A large attendance of Brethren from within and outwith the Province then witnessed an excellent Ceremony of Rededication carried out by members of Grand Lodge.

Addressing the assembled Brethren, SGM Bro, James Peddie pointed out that the actual centenary of the founding of the lodge had been exactly a year ago, but the celebration of the event had been postponed because of Covid.

He recalled that in 1921 society was recovering from the devastating effects of the Great War and the deadly scourge of Spanish Flu and praised the Brethren for their efforts over the past century to keep the Lodge thriving.
