Long Service Masonry Recognised

Combined long service by Brethren totalling more than 210 years was recognised in two ceremonies on consecutive evenings in the Province recently.

At the first meeting at Lodge St Andrew No.524 on 27th September, Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Ronald E. Fraser – accompanied by RWM Bro. Derek Bell - presented Bro. Robert Brown with his Diamond Diploma representing 60 years in the Craft. Bro. Raymond Thomson was then presented with his 50-year Diploma.

The presentations were followed by a Third Degree conferred by Lodge St Andrew Kilmarnock No. 126 who raised the East Kilbride Lodge’s newest Master Mason.

The following evening, the PGM presented 50-year Diplomas at a meeting of Lodge Eaglesham No.1265. The recipients on this occasion were Bro. Hector Black – who served as RWM of Lodge Eaglesham four times – and Bro. Jim Gormley.

The presentation was followed by of the Initiation of the Lodge’s first candidate since 2015, ably carried out by the 1265 Instruction Class.
