GPs can support their patients and discuss whether medication or referral to other more specialist support services might be helpful. NHS 24 Mental Health Services can provide advice out of hours when the GP practice is closed, call 111 to access this service.
Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH)
Not just an excellent source of mental health resources, but it also gives access to a useful wellbeing tool.SAMH have also introduced The Nook – Scotland’s first walk-in mental health support hub. It is based in Glasgow – no referral or appointment required. www.samh.org.uk
